eFolder is Hiring!
Yes, we're growing. Fast! We aim to revolutionize the data protection industry by developing unique, inspiring technology combined with exceptional service.
Come join our fast-growing team as we pursue our quest for excellence in all things data protection.
Why eFolder?
Our goal is to provide careers that will engage your whole person--something to challenge you, reward you, make you laugh and make you cry.
We're saving people's data and many times their livelihood. Companies that lose their data go out of business, we strive to put a stop to that.
There's no better feeling than hearing the latest story of a customer in a panic turned to joy and relief as their data is restored back to them.
And we're helping our channel partners grow their businesses while we do it. You'll be part of something meaningful.
- We don't want to provide you with a job, we want to empower careers that stoke your passions and challenge you to grow as a person.
- We tackle hard problems.
- We're not afraid of failures--we learn and move on.
- We have a team-centric culture and extreme customer focus.
- We treat our employees as good as we treat our customers.
- We don't settle for second-class efforts---be proud of your work and those you work with.
- We value diversity and the richness it brings to our interactions and services.
- Benefits. Lots of them. For example, we pay 100% of insurance premiums for you and your family.
- We're not going to sap your humanity---regular overtime is not encouraged. Work smarter, not harder.
- Tip: This is actually more challenging than working long hours, but infinitely more sustainable.
- Work from your home office as part of a distributed company.
Who are you looking for?
Our expectations are high. We're looking to hire smart people that get things done.
You must thrive on learning new things. Specific skills may give you a head start, but we change so fast you will fail if you expect to be trained on every new procedure or skill.
Your position will involve a high degree of creativity and problem solving within an environment that can be chaotic and highly dynamic.
Lucid writing and communication skills are critical to taming the chaos as we strive to move together as a team.
Just as critical is your ability to harmonize with our corporate culture of integrity, professionalism, courtesy, mutual respect, teamwork, accountability, commitment, initiative, fun, and friendship.
Each team member must continually strive to earn the trust of our partners and customers and meet the highest standards of ethical conduct.
At the core, we're a human company and seek to bring out the best that is in each one of us.
Open Positions
We only provide brief descriptions here. Note that we do not provide a list of skills. Your first part of the application process is to briefly research our company and tell us why you would be an excellent fit for a particular position.
We need to be convinced you can hit the ground running and can adapt rapidly as the company and market changes.
Also, we are always looking for top talent in any position. If you have a creative idea about how to help us grow together, please reach out to us!
- Technical Support Engineer
:
We hope you will be an effective mentor to the IT engineers that work for our channel partners---we will provide an environment conducive to learning and the tools you ask for, the rest is up to you!
Consider the technical depth required to be effective as an IT engineer for a managed service provider, and then up the ante.
- You will be supporting all technical needs of the IT engineers of our channel partners.
- You will not be teaching end-users what the cup-holder in their computer is for.
- You will be working with the very best tools and technologies.
- You will not be walking through mindnumbingly tedious diagnostics over the phone without screen sharing software.
- You will be challenged to keep up with our ever-changing suite of data protection products.
- You will not be asked to disregard the best interests of our partners or customers.
- You will be working with all things Microsoft, Linux, OSX, networking, email, backup, virtualization, and security, and on hard problems that change every day.
- Senior Software Engineer
:
- Think agile. Got scrum?
- We build to scale. Petabyte scale. Think millions-of-users scalable.
- Our systems comprise a surprising gamut of mature vs new technologies: C++, Python, Assembler, PHP, AJAX, Bash, Ruby, Perl, functional and OO paradigms, extreme concurrency, SQL, NoSQL, Win32, POSIX, clustering, fault-tolerance, modular UIs, custom device drivers, custom storage subsystems, software integrity self-introspection.
- Seeking top-talent in all areas: client, server, UI, web, mobile, infrastructure, testing.
- Looking for extreme competence and proven execution in areas where you have previously focused (not necessarily the specific technologies we employ here).
- Senior Reliability and Software Engineer
:
- Software's natural state is to be broken; the wild beast must be tamed!
- eFolder stakes its reputation on providing services that above all else are extremely reliable.
- The profitability of our channel partners depends upon software that just works and automatically recovers from common problems, only calling for attention when human intervention is truly necessary.
- Your mantra will be to ensure our services remain highly reliable, ensure escalated problems are resolved in a timely fashion, and work with the support team to discover common problems and develop solutions to eliminate or minimize these problems.
- You will be working with a large amount of well-proven existing code.
- You must possess an ever-updated knowledge of systems from cradle-to-grave, allowing you to diagnose in depth a wild range of problems; e.g., knowledge of hardware, cpu architecture, network layers, clustering, firewalling, kernel design and subsystems, device drivers, Win32 and POSIX subsystems, filesystems, sockets, binary debugging, and root-causing data races, memory leaks, and other heap defects.
- Automated testing is your best friend.
- You know you will be doing an amazingly superb job if everyone else wonders why your position is even needed.
- Pop quiz: what is wrong with this web page?
- Sales Executive
:
- Our sales executives should really consider themselves as business advisors to our prospects and partners.
- They tirelessly seek to form relationships with those willing to learn of our services, listen and learn what they are trying to accomplish, and communicate with clarity how our services will meet these needs.
- They have a laser-focus on the unspoken or spoken needs and plans of each prospect or partner.
- Competency in this advisory role requires proficiency in understanding both business and technology--this is a highly technical sale.
- We work exclusively through the IT channel.
- Expect to be challenged by highly competitive yet friendly and helpful peers.
- Exceptional performance will be rewarded with exceptional compensation.
- Account Executive
:
- Your passion will be to meet the needs of our IT channel service providers and do everything in your power to help them succeed.
- You will strive to become a trusted advisor to each of the partners in your territory.
- You will regularly meet with partners (by phone) to formulate and update their plans for their success through our solutions, including helping them execute their individual marketing and sales initiatives.
- You will hold your partners accountable to these plans, for their own benefit (tough love).
- You will laugh with and cry with your partners through their successes and failures.
